Kathryn Totzke, MA
Certified Psychological Assistant
Kathryn earned her Master’s degree in Psychology from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is a Certified Psychological Assistant. She provides psychological assessments across the lifespan, from young children through older adulthood, and enjoys working with a broad range of developmental, emotional, and behavioral concerns. Her approach is neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and responsive to each client’s experiences and goals.
Kathryn has a particular interest in evaluations for autism and ADHD, with careful attention to the mental health concerns that may overlap with or accompany these presentations. She considers how developmental history, emotional functioning, and life experiences contribute to a client’s current difficulties, helping clarify questions about diagnoses and identify appropriate supports.
Her experience across age groups informs how she approaches each evaluation. She understands that attention, social communication, emotional distress, and support needs can look different at different stages of life. By considering both a person’s history and the demands of their current environment, Kathryn works to understand how patterns have developed over time and why certain difficulties may become more noticeable as expectations change.
With experience in both psychotherapy and psychological assessment, Kathryn values making evaluation findings useful in everyday life. She helps clients and families understand the results, recognize strengths, and identify practical recommendations that reflect their individual needs. Her goal is for each evaluation to provide greater clarity and a meaningful direction for next steps.
In her free time, Kathryn enjoys listening to live music, going on walks, and relaxing with a comfort TV show.
